Funding and development

  • Teaching support programme of LUH

The LUH teaching support programme promotes the sustainable development of degree programmes and the professionalisation of teaching. One of its key objectives is to foster internationalisation. Teaching staff can apply for a reduction in their teaching load in order to implement their own project ideas and benefit from the opportunity to obtain ongoing evaluation from the ZQS. The university management provides a total of 500,000 euros annually in financial support for degree programme reform projects.

  • LUH internationalisation fund

LUH provides financial support for international projects in the faculties. Possible projects include visits to partner universities, travel to initiate new partnerships, workshops, seminars, conferences and student field trips.

  • International projects as part of EULiST

Teaching staff can apply for EU project funding to develop international projects as part of EULiST. Activities can include the development of demonstrators, the development of challenge-based concepts and pilot projects for the implementation of innovative and flexible teaching and learning formats, and the organisation of meetings within the framework of the EULiST work packages.

  • Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) within the framework of Erasmus+

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are short, international learning, teaching and training programmes for students and university employees that combine an on-site phase with a mandatory virtual phase and are funded through the EU's Erasmus+ programme. The objectives are to promote inclusion and personal development, create early incentives for international experiences and increase programme flexibility.

  • Joint Erasmus Mundus Master's programmes as part of Erasmus+

The Erasmus Mundus initiative of the EU's Erasmus+ programme promotes the establishment of Master's programmes that are jointly run and mutually recognised by European higher education institutions and are open to institutions in other countries around the world. The aim is to promote excellence and the global internationalisation of higher education institutions.
