The path of concern
-
Level 1: Faculty, degree programme or lecturer
The first point of contact for all kinds of student concerns is located in the faculties and the Leibniz School of Education, usually in the form of academic advisory services. These services deal in particular with everyday standard concerns directly related to the degree programme or faculty. Exceptional enquiries and complaints are handled at the level of the dean of studies offices.
In addition to faculty contact points, student concerns of all kinds are addressed by the student bodies and through student representatives on faculty committees.

Level 2: Central academic facilities
On the second level, central services can be used. These include, for example, the Central Student Advisory Services, the Admissions Office or, for international students, the International Office. These services generally deal with general questions about studying and the organisation of studies.
Special counselling services such as the Equal Opportunities Office or the Psychological and Therapeutic Counselling Service for Students provide assistance with specific and extraordinary issues and complement the range of services on offer.
On the student side, the students' union is available to provide advice.
