The training course has been part of the program since 2001, which is jointly coordinated by the DAAD and the HRK with financial support from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

DIES offers a bundle of measures:

• Training courses
• Dialogue events 
• Projects and partnerships that foster the professionalisation of institutional management processes
• The alignment of education to international quality standards and the strengthening of research capacities.

The training course is aimed at

Target Group: Heads of International Offices and university managers from Africa, Asia, and Latin America who are responsible for coordinating their institution's international activities.

Objective: To qualify participants in managing internationalization processes in higher education to establish more efficient structures within their institutions.

Important Notes: Not suitable for universities with advanced internationalization. The course does not provide knowledge on applying for third-party funding.
