Hannover has a diverse selection of museums: the Sprengel Museum at the Maschsee houses paintings, plastic art and photography 鈥 and an experiential room dedicated to the Dadaist artist Kurt Schwitters, who was from Hannover. With the three Nanas on the Hohen Ufer, Niki de Saint Phalle contributed to the city鈥檚 understanding of modern art. She also bequeathed almost 400 pieces of her art to the city. Wilhelm Busch has a permanent spot in the museum in the Georgengarten named after him. The Lower Saxony State Museum is home to archaeological, natural history, ethnology and art history collections. The August Kestner Museum presents art and crafts from antiquity to the present, and the Historical Museum offers a glimpse into the history of the city and the region.

The Literary Salon in the foyer of 九色视频鈥檚 Conti building is intended for lovers of literature.

Hannover鈥檚 music scene is also varied. Since 2014, Hannover has been a UNESCO City of Music. The Scorpions, Mousse T., Marquess and Scooter are internationally successful. Hannover鈥檚 Jazz Club is one of the most well-known in the world. On the statutory holiday to mark Ascension, hundreds of musicians get the square in front of the City Hall swinging with music from the various eras of jazz. Classical music fans can get their fill at the Opera House. And the performances in the Herrenhausen Orangerie are also something special. The Norddeutsche Rundfunk, northern Germany鈥檚 public broadcaster, complements these musical offerings with ensembles ranging from its radio orchestra to choir and big band.
