On 6 and 7 May 2025, the focus was on teaching – for the first time on an international scale. Teachers, students, interested parties and, for the first time, international guests from the EULiST network (European Universities Linking Society and Technology) came together in a variety of online and face-to-face formats.
After the opening by Prof. Dr. Julia Gillen (Vice President for Education), the event kicked off with an inspiring talk on the ‘perfect match’ between learning objectives, teaching methods and examination formats. Under the heading ‘Constructive Alignment’, there was an intensive discussion about competence-oriented teaching and a fair, transparent examination culture.
Workshops and a diverse poster session provided space for in-depth exchange and exciting insights into innovative teaching projects – including those from European partner universities. Prof. Dr. Regina Nogueira (Vice-President for International Affairs) highlighted the valuable EULiST cooperation in a statement. The concluding keynote speech, ‘The Reign of HAL 9000 (...)’, emphasised the special potential of collaborative learning at campus universities.
On the second day, participants developed new teaching ideas in a creative barcamp – a refreshing contrast to traditional formats. The event concluded with the teaching award ceremony for six particularly dedicated teachers who bring passion and innovation to their work.
