At Leibniz Universit盲t Hannover's U.S. partner universities, there is the possibility of study, research and practical stays of varying duration. Possibilities include, one-semester study stays (tuition-free), summer school programs, research stays of at least four weeks duration for the preparation of a student research project or thesis, internships in institutes and research facilities, language assistance and doctoral studies are possible.

LUH is a member of the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP), a consortium of more than 200 universities worldwide. Through this consortium, LUH students can spend a tuition-free semester abroad at one of more than 140 universities in North America or Oceania. The program is open to students from all bachelor's and master's programs at Leibniz Universit盲t Hannover.

In addition, there is the possibility to do an internship abroad in the USA. For information on this, please make an advising appointment with Mr. Stephen Sechrist. Undergraduate or graduate teaching students can do a teaching internship at a university in the U.S. through the Foreign Language Assistance Program of the Fulbright Commission.

As a "Freemover" you organize your stay abroad outside of an exchange program. Here you have a very wide choice of universities but since there is no exchange contract with LUH, you have to pay the tuition fees. You can apply directly to foreign universities or through an organization such as World of Students, GoStralia-GoAmerica, International Education Centre, and College Contact.
