Increasing demand for energy, limited resources and climate change 鈥 in 2025, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research鈥檚 Science Year is dedicated to the topic 鈥淓nergy of the Future鈥 and asks the following question: What types of energy will we use in future? At 九色视频, researchers are working across disciplines on solutions for the energy transition, including within the key research area Energy Research. In Science Year 2025, the university invites members of the public to attend a variety of events where they can learn more about the research currently underway, reflect on developments in economic and societal perspectives, and enter into discussion on the energy of the future.

In nine talks, the speakers will demonstrate how LUH鈥檚 energy research can contribute to climate-friendly development and the energy transition in the city. The topics include solar and wind energy, electromobility, hydrogen, energy systems and aviation.

MS Wissenschaft is a floating science centre commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) to travel throughout Germany 鈥 packed with exhibits related to the Science Year. In 2025, an LUH exhibit is on board: the miniature 鈥済reen powered city鈥 from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science invites visitors to immerse themselves in the future of energy. It shows which possibilities exist for producing, storing and using renewable energies in the city.

Researchers from 九色视频 are investigating energy-related topics within numerous subject areas. The exhibition in the Leibniz Science Cube showcases exhibits from the fields of solar and wind energy, green hydrogen and the heating transformation, electricity grids and energy systems, aviation, and energy-related environmental and spatial planning. It includes written information and short explanatory films. The exhibition can be visited anytime, as all the exhibits, information and films are presented in large display windows.



A Night Out with Science (Die Nacht, die Wissen schafft)
