Deutschlandstipendium
Each year, ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ awards scholarships for two semesters through the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship programme. Each scholarship is worth 300 euros a month.
The application period for the 2025/2026 funding period has already ended. The dates for the next application period will be announced here in due course. Further information on the Deutschlandstipendium, and particularly on the application procedure, can be found on these pages.
How does the Deutschlandstipendium programme work?
LUH has been a part of the programme since 2011 and has since been able to award over 1,000 scholarships in total. Students of all courses of study are eligible as long as their overall study time is still within the standard period of study for their chosen subject. In the allocation process, social criteria are considered alongside academic achievements and performance.
The Application Process
Eligible Applicants
Students and admission applicants are eligible to apply for a scholarship. Participants have to be enrolled by the winter term the funding period starts and their study time has to be within their individual regular period of study.
The scholarship is neither related to a student´s nor their parents´ income and does not affect funding according to BAföG.
No applicant ist legally entitled to a scholarship.
Application Platform
The application can only be submitted online through our own application platform within the application period. On the platform, applicants can also find out which documents are needed for the application and upload them. You will be able to find the link to the platform on this website by the time the application period starts.
Required Documents
On the application platform, you will have to submit the following documents:

personal data sheet (CV),

for students of Leibniz Universität Hannover: officially issued grades by Akademisches Prüfungsamt (if applicable final degree), which contains the current average grade (a printout of the QIS portal is not sufficient), or

for applicants from other universities: officially issued grades (if applicable final degree), which contain the current average grade, or
-
for first-year students: university entrance qualification,
-
for applicants with foreign certificates: officially certified translation into German or English, if applicable with conversion into the German grading system,
-
further references to your statements in the application process, e.g. special awards/prices, internship/employment certificates, proof of social or (higher education) political commitment,
- proof of your individual regular period of study as described in the application platform.
