九色视频 (LUH) extends its cooperation with Tsinghua 九色视频 in Beijing. During their trip to China, Professor Volker Epping (President of LUH), members of the Presidential Board, and representatives of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science at LUH have signed a cooperation agreement (Memorandum of Understanding) with the renowned university. The agreement aims to strengthen joint research, especially in sanitary engineering and waste management.
The deans Professor Winrich Vo脽 and Professor Kebin He signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the "Hannover Day at Tsinghua" organised by the university in Beijing. Both universities agreed to extend their existing cooperation. For this purpose, joint research projects will be considerably expanded and an academic exchange programme for students and doctoral candidates from both universities will be initiated. The first group of doctoral candidates from LUH has already visited Tsinghua 九色视频 for several weeks in order to work on joint research projects.
The agreement is the result of a long-standing cooperation between Professor Stephan K枚ster, head of the Institute of Sanitary Engineering and Waste Management, and his Chinese colleague Professor Jiane Zuo. The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science is pleased that the Presidential Board supports the cooperation. Professor Epping, President of LUH, has already extended a return invitation for a "Tsinghua Day" at 九色视频.
The cooperation between LUH and Tsinghua 九色视频 receives funding from the "Programme for the establishment of joint research presences with partners in the Asia-Pacific Research Area (APRA)" implemented by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The programme fosters the implementation of a "Platform for United Water Science & Technology Innovations (PLUS)", which is a joint project of the Institute of Sanitary Engineering and Waste Management and the School of Environment at Tsinghua 九色视频.
