The Claussen-Simon Foundation’s Master Plus funding programme is aimed at students from all disciplines who are starting a Master’s degree (full-time, on-campus, non-dual) at a state university* in Germany. Applications for Master Plus must be submitted within the specified deadlines for the summer and winter semesters respectively, and only before the start of the programme.
Master Plus Scholarship at a glance
- Duration of funding: maximum of 4 semesters (standard duration of study)
- Financial support: independent of BAföG or parents’ income; scholarships ranging from 300 euros to a maximum of 992 euros per month (based on individual living costs) are available
- Budget for active participation in conferences in Germany and abroad
- Grants for stays abroad that are closely related to the research or study project (e.g. semesters abroad, research stays, archive visits)
- Non-financial support: regular workshops, regional group meetings and networking events with other scholarship holders and alumni of the Claussen-Simon Foundation
