The Institute of Production Engineering and Machine Tools (IFW) welcomes applications for the following position available from now on:  Student Assistant on the subject of "Simulation- and data-based monitoring and optimisation of milling processes" (23 hours per month)

The position is limited to 3 months for project-related reasons. 

Your job at a glance 

Support us in the iWearAdapt project in the development and research of innovative methods for monitoring and optimising milling processes. You will gain exciting insights into simulation-based and data-driven process modelling. You will also gain valuable experience in the application-oriented use of artificial intelligence (AI), for example in the field of machine learning. Apply now and find out more!

• Conducting experimental activities
• Analysing und visualising data
• Developing algorithms and programs
• Creating and training AI models

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a motivated student assistant to join our team with immediate effect.

Your profile:

• You have a good command of German or English
• You are interested in experimental work and application-oriented research
• Experience in programming (Python, Matlab or similar) is desirable
• You have an independent, structured approach to work and are highly motivated to familiarise yourself with new tasks

A prerequisite for employment is valid enrolment at a German university in a degree programme relevant to the position (mechanical engineering, chemistry, materials science or similar subjects).
