The Institute of Transport and Automation Technology conducts research in collaboration with the Hannover Centre for Optical Technology (HOT) and the PhoenixD Cluster of Excellence.
The Institute of Transport and Automation Technology welcomes applications for the following position starting at the earliest possible date: Administrative Assistant (salary scale 9a TV-L, 50 %)
The position is permanent and based in Hanover. You will support international university professor Antonio Calà Lesina and his team with administrative tasks.
Your role
- You will be responsible for financial management, coordinating fund requests and annual and project accounts, and processing invoices and travel expenses, among other things
- You will be involved in student and personnel matters
- You will be responsible for written and verbal correspondence in German and English
- You will make simple adjustments to the website
- You will assist in the organisation and implementation of events (e.g. conferences)
- You will ensure smooth administrative processes within the team
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate must have completed the necessary professional training (Verwaltungsfachangestellte / Verwaltungsfachangestellter or Verwaltungswirtin / Verwaltungswirt). They must have passed the corresponding examination (Verwaltungsprüfung I) or be eligible for career group 1 - entry level 2 within the field general service (Allgemeine Dienste). Alternatively, the successful candidate must have equivalent professional training.
In addition, we are looking for a candidate with the following:
- Comprehensive and reliable IT skills (MS Office applications, Typo 3, SAP skills) are required
- Very good written and spoken German and English language skills are essential
- Strong communication skills, the ability to work in an international team, and coordination and organisational skills are essential
- Experience with administrative processes at a state authority (e.g. university) or in general in the secretarial or assistant field is an advantage
