The Institute of Public Finance welcomes applications for the following position starting October 1, 2025: Student Assistant to support research and teaching (32 hours per month)

The fixed-term position is for a duration of 1 year, with the possibility of extension.

Your role

The tasks include participation in various current research projects, support with the creation of graphics and similar materials for lecture slides, and collaboration in updating the department's website.

Who are we looking for?

Valid enrollment at a German university is a prerequisite for employment. In addition, you bring the following qualifications:

  • Interest in economic policy issues
  • Degree in economics (Master's or Bachelor's)
  • Good computer skills in MS Office, basic knowledge of LaTeX and statistical software such as Stata are an advantage
  • Willingness to familiarize yourself with other software used at the institute
  • Good written and spoken language skills (German and English)
  • Initiative, reliability, commitment, and the ability to work independently
